What Is Happening in the West Bank?
Israel enforces on the population of the West Bank two kinds of laws. The Palestinians are under Israeli military law and Jewish settlers, the 600 or 700,000 Jewish settlers are under Israeli civil law. Because I'm a Palestinian, the only thing that the Israelis could offer us under the Israeli military law is a tourist visa. And this visa expires every six months, so we need to renew it. We renewed it three times, three or four times, and it's renewable only up to 24 months. After the 24 months, we needed to leave.
