What Happened to Caesar?

Lucius Cornelius Sulla Felix won the first large scale civil war in Roman history. He became the first man of the Republic to seize power through force, becoming a dictator for a few years before voluntarily stepping down. The positive for this reform was much bigger armies for Rome who were more incentivized to go kick and expand as far as possible. Now if you commanded a powerful enough army, you could take over the Republic. And that's what of course happened with Caesar.
