Self Publishing Is a Threat to Traditional Publishing

Ike: The idea that self publishing might be a threat to traditional publishing was laughable, wasn't laughable? I feel like if you're the ceo of a major publishing company and you hear about my kick starter, and your response as, holy crap, this is a threat. What if all our authors go do this? Ike: If an author doing what i've done is such a threat, the answer should be, how do we replicate this? He's not wrong in general but he's wrong in some very important ways.
