How do you identify a rising star? Table stakes good intellectual horsepower work ethic training and history of results. Other things we're really looking for under the hood are insatiable curiosity self awareness, growth mindset coupled with an intense desire to improve and learn and passion. So there's a risk for staying in a fund that is singely singularly focused and perhaps had the wind at their back for the past decade and got lucky as well as the risk in transitioning.
