The Constraints of the Japanese Government
The bank Japan owns about half of JGBs in the market and it's just something that's hard to explain. The big difference is that Japan is a nation of savers. They're not depending on foreign savings. It's sort of this almost like a little domestic bubble of an experiment that so far is working. But again, I think they're very, very worried about how to get out of this.
