In France in 2018, they had a huge debate about what they called Le Burnout. 35% of French workers felt they could never stop checking email or turn off text because their boss could message them at any time of the day or night and they would get in trouble if they didn't answer. So Bruno Metling proposed a very simple solution that was then passed into law - it's called the right to disconnect. It says two things: One, you have a right to have legally defined work hours, written work hours that are stipulated to you before you start work. And you have aright outside of those work hours to not have to check your email in your phone.
