The Importance of Belief Management in Teacher Training

Teachers are often taught in teacher training to do behavior management, which is frequently just like a 45 minute lesson or a few tips here and there. The idea that we negotiate with students what the classroom rules are is one of the worst ideas I've ever heard in my life. You don't have a Jedi mind trip; you're not Max von Sidel from Existentialism. It's very rare that a child will ever come up with a rule or a routine or a behavioral expectationWhich will surprise you as a grown woman. As a grown woman, you can't think of five or 10 short rules that will help your classroom run more efficiently. And then I suggest into teacher training
