The Politics of Rome in the Early Christian Church
In Acts 23, Felix is depicted as the governor who receives Paul after he's taken into custody. He also represents the Roman authority that dominated Judea during the time of the early Christian church. But at the end of the day, Felix is more interested in getting a bribe from Paul than he is in rendering justice.
