Research Can't Improve Well Being

i think research sometimes acts as a sort of am excuse for inaction. They don't want to take action on a problem. Even if we had good measures, that wouldn't tell us what policies would improve well being. Andt states, the lack of maternity leave, decent maternity leaveatevnd ther are hundreds of ways in which we know how to improve well being quite dramatically. It's because there are vested interests who don't wants to do anything about it.
