Slowing Down

When something is new, you assume that it has hazards until it's demonstrated to be safe. And the other is chesterton's fence, named after g k chesterton who first outlined the logic of it. So moving slower means applying both of these things when you come up with something new. Even something like the smart one, that seems like an enhancement to life, is something one should treat with great caution at the point it's introduced.
