How to Choose the Right Multi-Modal for Pain Treatment
Hassan: Even if you're not in the ICU or are on acute pain service uh patients coming in with renal dysfunction they have fewer options whether it's metabolites or direct nephrotoxic activity with vincents. So those are really the patients i really want to double down on any multi-modals or regional anesthesia or other types of methods of treating pain. Kelly mentioned that our common choice here and this may be true elsewhere as well for a PCA is usually going to be the fentanyl or delotted and then maybe occasionally morphine.
