The Effects of the Vietnam War on the Country of Vietnam

Most people left by boat trying to cross the ocean to neighboring countries. They were not perceived very well in general but slowly they moved to South California and other places with warmer weather similar to Vietnam. The third wave of of Vietnamese who came to the US refugees came under a special program for former detainees of re-education camps after the war.
