There are approximately 9,000 fund managers that are out there in the private equity space. So an investor who wants to own a piece of Chick-fil-A or have a portfolio of private equity investments may be attracted to a certain type of fund. The normal advice is split that $1 million into four or five years worth of allocations and commit to more than one manager each year.
