"I think like what you said about printing branches, you always need to be bending those branches back toward the main story you want to tell," he says. "You know, if you give the players the choice of talking to the witch or talking to the dragon, they can head off in those different directions and still get the quest to go find bigfoot." He adds that there are times when it's helpful to make decisions ahead of time as to which pieces you just can't prune from a game.
