Are the Tories Starting to Understand Working Parents?
This feels like the first time that the Tories have noticed parents for a while. They are starting to understand how much waste has gone on and disproportionately women's working opportunities during those years. I'm not seeing much recognition about all of the other issues that come up around trying to retain a job if you are a working parent. There's little recognition in government policy around levers on business to make sure that people who have caring responsibilities are included. And this is dad as well, but it has been disproportionately women's careers. It's just a big deal to work more. Expectations of a bit of an employer, absolutely. Yeah,.
