Henrio could plainly see that he did not have a strong enough force to maintain the siege of the convention. He had heard that the convention was in the process of raising a street army of its own, this one drawn from central and western sections of paris. So hanrio decided to lead his little army back to the hotel de ville to prepare for a showdown on their own home turf.
