Langmuir and Schafer decided to work on making snow at General Electric. They tried talcum powder, sulphur, magnesium oxide but no luck. One summer day the weather got so hot the freezer started to struggle. So they used some dry ice - millions of tiny ice crystals popped into being. This time it didn't snow straight away but once it started it didn't stop. A single plane could generate hundreds of millions of tons of snow. It's connected in New York November 14th.
