The Importance of Service-Oriented Architectures
A lot of what SOA turned into was standardizing the data representation in various industries. And so like, what would have been cool there would have been to be like, whoa, this is way too complicated. The whole point of a microservice is to decouple the dependency of one of the components in your system from the other components as much as possible. That decoupling often goes back to the culture thing where you have a team that owns that microservice and they don't want to be dependent on other services within their large organization.
