In 19 54, something was happening in a very familiar section of the pacific northwest. Tiny holes, often described as pits and dings, began appearing on cars at an alarming rate. The residents were concerned, suspecting aliens, nuclear bomb tests, cosmic death rays and sand flea eggs. These days, it's widely accepted that the winshield pitting was either mass hysteria, more people talk about it, or perhaps a kind of mass hysteria combined with copy catting,.
