Eucharistic miracles may involve unusual behavior of the consecrated elements in a visible way. There are reports of individuals being able to subsist on nothing the eucharist for extended periods of time, sometimes lasting decades. In 20 17 an image of a heavenly host appeared directly over the chalice immediately after the words of consecration.
