Isn't God the All Powerful Good Entity?

According to the christian belief, god wants us to be saved and not suffer. But isn't god almighty? Why didn't he simply create humans in such a way that they would not go to hell? Is this one of the conditions of creation? God doesn't like torture and punishment, but it is part of the deal. And since god decided to create because he found it so b fu, unfortunately, he has to deal with the consequences of also punishing people and also making them suffer. Does that really make sense?
