Is There a Preferential Attachment in Financial Panics?
Greed is natural. The greed is part of human nature, he says. Sometimes that greed produces homogeneity in the network and it can be reself reinforcing. Financial panics are more sustainable than a complete erosion of fairness in our society because there's order on a larger scale. And so personally, i'd rather see the pain of ia panics than the far more destructive power of a complete eroded fairness.
