How Long Will Pig Organs Last?

If you stick an organ from a pig inside a person, the immune system attacks it almost instantly. This is where genetic modification comes in to make them better fit for potential organ donation. At least four groups around the world have created pigs with a dozen or so genetic changes. These pigs are now son to become available to surgeons, which is whyte heart plant could take place. But expectation is that they will still be rejected faster than human organs.
