Irenaeus' Testimony on the Number of the Beast in Revelation 13, 18
In the second century, Irenaeus was writing about the number of the beast that's reveled in 14, 18. We didn't know of any other witnesses until the 1840s when a scholar working at the National Library of Paris looked at these manuscripts. The undertext happens to be one of the most important biblical manuscripts we have. And there's frequent times where by itself it has the original wording. So now that gives us some pause.
