The Dougars and the Oprah Winfrey Show

The dougars are now supposed to be appearing on the Oprah Winfrey show in 2006 but shortly before the family would appear on the show a letter appeared at the harpo studios. The abuse continued to remain a secret until 2015 when in touch weekly used legal public information routes to access the initial abuse complaints and that's when this big bombshell article came out. In the wake of the report tlc made a statement condemning josh's actions and they removed all 19 kids and counting episodes from the air even though it was like their biggest seller  the show was officially canceled on July 26 2015.
