The Case of Homer Plessy

Homer Plessy was arrested for writing with the white people on a train in 1892. The New Orleans Daily Pick-A-Yoon greeted the story with jeers another Jim Crow car case. Two days later Judge John Ferguson threw out Daniel Day Dune's case Interstate travel was a federal matter not a state one But Judge Ferguson would hear Plessy's case.
