Using a Field to Accelerate Electrons

In my case, we go back to the use of two electrodes. We basically pass high voltages, and we then accelerate electrons. The electrons are much lighter than any of the ions that we'd have around. They're about 2,000 times lighter than anything else so they're moving very rapidly through this gas. When they strike those atoms then, they can either excite them up to a high level, or they can actually strip the electron off. And eventually after a while... That's an ionization wave. There's one way to do it, I was going to mention that in a little bit more detail. It'll be more sophisticated in other ways, and I'll mention
