The Importance of Being Aware of PTSD, the Complex PTSD and the HDR
When you're preparing to discuss things in a public setting, I find it's very helpful to be aware of the PTSD, the complex PTSD and the HDR that most likely is going to be present in my audience. So if I'm speaking to a room of native people or of other marginalized peoples of women, I will be very aware of the history and of what happened within that community. And either warn people about possible triggers or make sure that people are aware of the content of my discussion so that we don't derail the conversation.
