Nobody, except the chess base, knows how let's check work. There are all possibilities for outworks. If you play against someone lower rated on average, you will get a higher score because it's more likely to be able to find the best moves. Against someone who's weaker boker, they give you the opportunity to just play a move that wins on the spot. And this is not something that is debatable. We can debate the degree about this, but empirically, it's just a fact. You can just check it, right? So that's there.
