School Board Meetings

This is a reaction both to, i mean, the religious right was initially, more than anything, a reaction to desegregation and the women's liber movement. And what we're seeing now is a reaction to gains that l g b t people have made in the last 20 years. The ultimate goal of all this is to stop progress towards racial justice, to roll back gay rights, um, to enshrine white supremacy using violence. They want to scare people away from getting volved in local politics unless they adhere to a specific far right political idea.
