What's the Purpose of the Blindfold?

In ephesians two Paul paints the image of someone who has multiple uncrossable barriers, ok? So s using the cord thing, i right? One, if he's already a dead corpse, why are you wrapping him up? If scripture says that one of the cords is to preventit, in order to prevent something from happening. Then how does that make sense? Even if the cord wasn't there, they couldn't it.
