War is ignored by a majority of Western universities, but that might come as a surprise to historians. We tend to spend a lot of time focusing on the first and second world wars. I think there's a sort of complacency that has crept in that we don't take war seriously enough. But for most of us, war is something that happened either in the past or happens very far away. It happens to others. And I think that's dangerous.
