The Tory Right's Failure to Pull People Into Their Ideas
I was very concerned that the most dystopian forces of our age had a more optimistic view of their ability to pull people into their ideas than the movements I actually want to win. It's just not true that people don't change their minds. And second, it's just an incredibly demoralizing and self-defeating way of looking at the world. But then if you look at, for example, what happened recently in the House of Representatives, it's like, okay, well, there are people that are steadfast in getting their way but ended up getting a lot of consent.
