Is There a City for Social Yes, Yes?
Rio de Janeiro is a city for social deception, says the author. People can't gauge proper behaviour or meaningful behaviour on their own. But they can do it to some degree on their own, but that only works until they have a problem they can't solve. And so then what you do is engage very frequently in joint problem solving. That's what a mechanic does - he'll fix your car no matter how bad it is.
