How to Avoid Disappointment in Japan

In Japan, my expectations were so high because I had invested so much time into that language before. However, when in Thailand, I was very happy to talk English. There's a difference between expectations and goals. It's important to have high goals, but don't have your expectations so high as the goals. Your expectations generally will increase much, much faster if you want to avoid disappointment.
