The Influence of the Name Swine Flu on Public Awareness
The new flu strain has been named swine flu by the CDC. The previous one had gotten bird flu, says Dr. Tom Frieden. There is still some murkiness about whether this actually did come through swine right in mexico or whether it came from other parts of the world and you know i guess it leads to that basic question like does it really matter if we know where exactly it came from? "It's always a nice curiosity but it's not really in the public interest if there's nothing you can do about it," he adds.
