Why Is Gas So Important?
Gas in germany is used for a huge amount of different things. Industrial uses accounts for 29 %, Households account for a further 29%. The energy sectus,. That's electricity district, heating refineries, that kind of thing. That's another 28 %. And then commercial uses 13 %. So it's used across all different aspects of the german economy. If we do get gas supply shortages, the knock on effects are hard to think through, because ae we then going to get fertilizer shortages. Are we going to get all these other things where supply chains will just break down?
