According to the new york times and just about every newspaper that covered the g t p that came out, the economy is great. It's just that pesky trade deficit. If it wasn't for that trade deficit, we would have had a really strong economy. Because trade deficits subtract from g d p. Now trade surpluses will they add to g d p but we don't have a surplus.
