The History of the Dome of the Rock

In the year 638, marks the first Arab Muslim conquest of Israel. In that same year, the Khalif Omar enters Jerusalem. And he only allows Jews to enter Jerusalem once a year to be mocked and ridiculed as they mourn for their temple. It's important to note that the shrine of the Dome of the Rock is not a mosque, it's a shrine. Further south, where you have the lead, the stone dome is the actual mosque, the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
