Most people don't know that they are genuinely pretending but in one way or another aspire pure genuineness and um genuine pretending is basically a philosophical insight into the fact that genuineness is always a construct genuinness is always pretended there is no such thing as puregenuineness, says victor ternor. i wonder if it maybe shares some sort of familiarity with like a liminality where you kind of have these different groups that for ritualistic purposes or rights of passage they enter into these liminal spaces where they're genuinely pretending.
