Sibling Rivalry

The most important thing you can do is try to help them work it out themselves through emotion coaching when they're younger and backing off when they're older. Oftentimes, especially with older siblings, the younger sibling might do something aggressive or might ruin something that upsets an older child. Think of it as I'm giving a unique gift to each child, if that's what you're doing. And it's not going to be something that will feel unequal when it's the same thing anyway.
