The prosecution settled for a second degree murder plea in the case. The evidence of planning and deliberation here was not sufficient to sustain a conviction for first degree murder. One might think that lynn and lana's tireless campaign for justice for paula had now come to an end. They were inspired by paula's life and legacy to continue, but on a different campaign. Now, they wanted to work to give a voice to the many victims of violence against women. Far too many women and girls suffer physical and psychological harm at the hands of others,. and often people they love and trust.
