Is Erotica a Subjen of Romance?

There is a confusion because there's also something called erotic romance. Erotica, the plot like the story ark, and the plot is about the sex much more so than about the falling in love. A lot of erotica tends to be shorter, cause you're not doing a lot of character development. And talking about that happy ever after or happy for now, i've seen readers on twitter lose their minds when they don't get one of those two things.
