I've been, for most of my professional life, a big enemy of horseshoe theory. My first book, liberal fascism, my whole point was that if you define conservatism as two pillars, traditional Christian, Judeo-Christian values, and classical liberalism, then you cannot call conservatives in the Anglo-American tradition fascists. And we can have an argument about all that, but I'm just explaining where I'm coming from on this. All these people have gone another way.
