The History of Whistling Languages

I want to do one on metathesis. Metathesis is the process of switching letters in words for no apparent reason other than to make it easier to pronounce. Another video I'm doing on whistled languages. In all continents, for no reason whatsoever without contact, they have what's called a whistled language where people whistle and they communicate with sentences through this whistling. At any point in human history has a single language dominated the globe as much as English or Mandarin or Hindi? Why don't we know?
