The Second Court of Inquiry Into the Battleship Main Explosion
Cuba wanted us to get the wreck out of their harbor, which had been sitting there for the last 13 years. We brought in actual engineers, rather than just navy divers to take a look at the wreckage. And under the leadership of rear admiral charles freeland, a second court of inquiry was held. The tims were then buried in arlington national cemetery in virginia. And the remains of the ship were re floated, taken out to sea and then scuttled with appropriate ceremonies.
