i think we're all going to end up as atoms in these nakedly transactional relationships with one another, and there's just no space left for loyalty or honour. The closest britain ever came to being a monarchy was during queen victoria's reign. And i'd honestly be surprised if it'll go down without considerably more of a fight than we've seen so far.
