Introduction
The queen's 20 fifth jubilee was in 19 77. Economy was on its uppers, and there was a cost of living crisis. With annual inflation at almost 16%. Was widely viewed to be poorly governed. This time last year, allison offered the hope of freedom and prosperity. Yet here we are with the n h s struggling,. our airports in turmoil and countless civil servants seemingly determined to stay at home. There's a sense that nothing works and the country's falling to bits. What can we do, allison, to rouse this nation?
