In 19 64, a physician from california named harold schwartz published a paper in jamma arguing that lincoln actually had marpans. But these days, marpans is really a genetic diagnosis in individuals who have a marphonoid body type. There are a number of genetic cyndromes that can manifest with a marphanoid habitus. So was l Lincoln marphanoid? It at's been noted that he was obviously very tall and thin. He had very long arms and fingers, he had a prominent chin. All of that can potentially be consistent with the marphanoid Habitus.
