Can Rabbis Be Wrong?
Jewish Philosophy with Rabbi Dr. Dovid Gottlieb
00:00
Introduction
Rabbi David Gottlieb: I can't express the great pleasure of being back in Baltimore. The Torah has principles which disturb people, and they are very vociferous in expressing what bothers them. One of those principles that provokes people is the idea that the rabbis have absolute authority to determine how one's Jewish practice should be formed. Even those who say there's no guarantee of getting it right all agree that we are bound to follow what they say.
